Bajaj Auto posts net profit of Rs.7.56 bn

Two-wheeler manufacturing major Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) has decided to focus on the production of 125 cc motorbikes as it reported a net profit of Rs.7.56 billion for the financial year 2007-08.

Kawasaki to sell 150 cc sports bikes in India

Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd said on Friday it would start selling Kawasaki brand sports motor bikes in India through carmaker Bajaj Auto by the summer of 2009 to tap growing demand for luxury bikes there.

Shares in Kawasaki ended up 2.45 percent at 293 yen on Friday after the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun reported the news.

Honda may roll out CBF Stunner by August

Engineers at Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) might have finally designed the goose that could lay golden eggs for them.

According to sources, the Japanese two-wheeler giant is engrossed in secretly testing out a new motorcycle at its factory in Maneswar, Gurgaon. Codenamed KWFA and christened the CBF Stunner, the new bike is likely to hit the showrooms by August this year and is supposed to sport an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 52,000.
